AMPHION PRIO/HELIUM 520
“If you are looking for an immersive musical experience in the home without outlaying a small fortune, then the Helium520 floorstanding loudspeakers are your answer. Providing an open and natural sound with a hint of warmth, Helium520 ‘floorstanders’ are the optimum price/quality solution for any home environment. Helium520 speakers are known for their honest but still forgiving sound, revealing fine details and still handling less-than-perfect source material.” Read More
“The Prio 520 was impressive enough in its own right, but ironically it’s utterly eclipsed by this less costly variation. The Helium 520 has all the good qualities shown by the Prio, most notably its very superior coherence through the critical crossover and presence regions, but does so with improved smoothness right across the band, including the previously slightly troublesome bass alignment.” Read More

AMPHION ARGON 2 ANNIVERSARY
“There are many ways in which the Argon2 Anniversary is an excellent speaker — its speed, tonal neutrality, and voluminous soundstaging — but it is the collection of all of these traits at a mid-level price that makes it an exceptional speaker.” Read More
AMPHION ARGON 3
“The bottom line: Amphion’s Argon3 is the finest-sounding bookshelf speaker I’ve ever reviewed for the SoundStage! Network. It has outclassed my longtime reference, PSB’s Platinum M2. The torch has been passed.” Read More

GAMUT D200
What happens when phenomenal power meets refined delicacy? This. Read More
“First of all, the Gamut D200 has the best soundstaging I’ve yet heard from any amp, fully equal to the worldclass, $30,000 Lamm ML-2s that won one of my Golden Ear Awards last year – superb width, depth, focus, and layering that makes other amplifiers, even far more expensive ones, sound as if they are slightly constricting musical space.” Read More
“When used within its operating limits and partnered with speakers of moderate to high sensitivity, the D-200 is a true world-class amplifier that offers its owner a touch of sonic heaven at a real world price. My hat is off to Ole Lund Christensen for offering us mere mortals touch of sonic heaven. Highly recommended.” Read More
GAMUT D3i PREAMP
The D3i is a truly skillful communicator, deftly designed to prime the delicate audio signal for such greatness. Read More
“In a world where every review seems to be good and so many products exhibit so few specific, identifiable sonic flaws, these Rowlands represent a different level of achievement. It’s that attention to detail, that perfectionist insistence on the right over the easy, that has created them – and recreated the musical performances they’ve played to such emphatic effect.” Read More

JEFF ROWLAND DAC AERIS
Jeff Rowling Design Group Digital-to-Analog Converter . Read more
By now I am running out of ways to express how I feel about the Aeris DAC. It is not only the best DAC I have heard to date but also the most consistently well-performing one. Read More
But, for the ultimate in (refined and balanced) resolution, this carefully designed (two years on the bench) DAC is an easy choice for those flush audiophiles who want to get the best digital into their systems. Yeah, I’m going to say it — It’s a bargain at 10K. Read More
SLT 200
SLT 200 Professional Power Amplifier
The Cabinet
The Cabinet is made of 2 mm steel plate, protected against rusting. The cabinet parts are mounted with hex cone steel screws.
The amplifier boards.
All electronic parts are on 2 circuit-boards, one for each channel. Each board has its own protection circuit, so in case of faults, only one channel will stop working. The board can easily be exchanged in case of a defective part.
The MOSFET.
In the SLT 200 we have included a gem of a MOSFET transistor. It handles 520 Watts, and a peak current of 300 Ampere, all on a single die. This is the first time a 200 Watt power amplifier has been made without using several power transistors in parrallel. Transistors are not identical, so they have to be matched, in order to work well together.
But matching takes time and cost money, so it is often not done. Even with good matching, there is a difference, and they will sound like a choir, not like a single voice.
The Single MOSFET power amplifier has a both smooth and detailed sound quality, which until now only was available in some low powered amplifiers.
The input.
The input is an active balanced low noise JFET stage, using a Neutric XLR socket. The gain is normally set to 0 dBu(0,7746 V) for full power, However, two gold plated switches inside allow precise reduction of gain by 6, 12, or 14 dB. So you can match the SLT 200 to almost any source with minimum noise from the combination.
The Protection.
The unique protection circuit idea has been used in all our power amplifiers. Due to the high current MOSFET we can allow high peak currents , and we only need to mute the input signal in case of long term overload. The protection detects DC errors, high level subsonic signals, long-term ultrasonic signals, high temperature, and to low impedance loads or short circuits. If needed, the protection will simply mute the input signal, and if necessary open the output relay. The relay will normally open only after muting the input signal to avoid relay switching of strong currents that could corrode the relay contacts. So in case of i.e. a short circuit the input is muted for a second. Then a 1 millisecond long pulse is sent out to test again. If the short circuit still is present, it waits a second and tries again, and so on. As soon as the user has removed the faulty cable, the system will quickly remove the muting. The protection also detects too low impedance loads, and alerts the user by muting for a second. So the user can be sure to hear only clean non-distorted audio. The normal current limiting and momentary distortions of the music are avoided in the SLT 200.
The Fuse.
Due to the advanced protection, the only fuse needed is the mains fuse, which is placed on the front panel
The Output.
Both normal binding posts, and Speakon connectors are provided. The connectors are recessed, so that they will not be damaged.
The Lifetime.
Our amplifiers from 1985 still work in professional recording studios, often doing their job 16 hours a day. So we expect our SLT 200 to be very reliable. In fact, the chance of a breakdown is reduced a lot, since there are only 4 output transistors, instead of maybe 24 or 30, each of which could cause a breakdown.
The Sound.
We use the term Natural Dynamics to describe the ability of the SLT 200 power amplifier to keep different levels of sound apart also in a complex musical passage. The performers are almost physically present. You will be pleasantly surprised to hear how much better your music will sound.
